Buyer's Guide: R Comic

Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Collect R Comic Books

R Comic is one of the many comic book publishing companies. A comic book, also known as comic book, comic magazine or just comic, is a comic publication that contains comics art in the format of sequential interconnected panels which visually portray individual scenes. Comics art may include sequential pictures or drawings, frames, layouts, panels and sometimes backgrounds. It is often distributed by the company known as the publisher.

Recently, DC Entertainment released their new super hero movie, "othsayer." This movie is part of the New York Comic Con film Festival which runs from June 11-12 at the Con's New York Center. There will be numerous signings and artist guest appearances. Among the panelists for the signing are Batman Beyond writer, Alan Deanagos, Batman Beyond artists, colorist Eddie Graham, and lettings editor Todd Kopelian. If you are attending this year's New York Comic Con, make sure to stop by R Comic and see the new Batman Beyond series by Todd Kopelian and Robert Downey Jr. Check out our interview with Mr. Deanagos below!

"othsayer" (not the book) is the follow up to the successful Batman Beyond series starring Robin Williams as the iconic super hero. The movie "othsayer" is the third in the franchise and promises even more from director Christopher Nolan. Comic book lovers will no doubt be hoping for more twists and turns in the storyline. For those who aren't familiar with the Batman Beyond series, here are some basic facts to fill you in before seeing the film.

Batman Beyond: R Comic is the latest in a long line of blockbuster superhero movies. Though the first two Batman Beyond films featured the classic Batman, this movie picks up right where the latter left off. batman Beyond features Tom Hardy as the lead role, and Anne Hathaway as Cat Woman. Anne Hathaway is probably best known for her roles in Aladdin and Finding Nemo, so this is a pretty major role for her.

The Rise of Superman: Since the original super hero was born on planet Krypton and was destined to save the world by raising it from destruction, humanity didn't think much about sending him off to college. But when a freak accident causes Superman to lose his powers, he has to learn to cope with being apart of everyday life. Watch as Superman battles villains and uses his incredible strength to help mankind. Though the R-rated version of the movie was rated R, it was not as well received as the previous PG versions.

Beware of Batman: The R Comic Movie that started it all, Batman Forever, was not as well received as the previous PG versions. However, the R-rated cut of Batman Forever featured much more action, and featured story elements that made it stand out from the rest of the comic books. It is after the Dark Knight that we see Batman without his mask, and fighting crime on the streets of Gotham City. This is probably one of the best and most memorable aspects of Batman's character, and if you enjoy this type of movie, watch the R Comic after for some added goodness.

X-Men: First introduced in 2000, X-Men has been an evergreen favorite among fans of Comics and Sci-Fi. One of the main characters, Professor X, tries to train young mutant minds, in hopes of preventing them from being evil. Of course, this attracts several subplots and characters, such as Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Scott Summers, that have taken up residence in the X-Men universe. Watch as the X-Men battle villains, and use their own special powers to do it.

Spider-Man: One of my all time favorite Spider-Man comic, this four part series chronicles the day Spider-Man visits various cities across the United States of America. If you enjoy Spider-Man comics, and want to see more of the amazing Peter Parker, this is a great movie to watch. There are many different versions of Spider-Man, and this is one of the best attempts at recreating what made Peter Parker so great. If you enjoy Spider-Man, and want to see how far the superhero has come, this is a must watch movie for your collection.
