Buyer's Guide: Powers Comic

Review on the Powers Comic

Powers Comic is the brainchild of Greg Berlanti and Amy Grant. These two have been friends for several years and while they have not had any comic book related shows, they know all about the business and the TV show industry. So when the opportunity to create a TV show was presented, they jumped at it like a rabbit in the headlights. The writers for the show are seasoned TV veterans with a wide range of skills. They also produced their own live action series called Weapon Force.

The Powers Comic writers are Greg Berlanti, Kari Carpenter, Sarah De Luca, and Corin Hardy. They have all worked on some of the biggest and best shows on television including Smallville, The Shield, Alias, X-Files, and many more. Powers has been created as a TV show that will not only entertain but also give the viewers something to relate to. We will explore the powers of three young women named Karla, mia, and calista. All three have unique and powerful abilities. Once discovered by an unfortunate victim named Victoria, the girls become bound together as the team named "Powers".

The second season of Powers features the villains named Desiree, Glinda, andrush. Victoria has become a major threat to the girls and is even said to be the most dangerous bad girl of all. This new group of Power Women must battle their way through the powers of the Dark God, The Collector, and the evil entity, The Trio. Powers has proven to be a hit this first season, following the trend that the majority of animated superhero shows follow. The animation has been spectacular, following the high standards of television that is in place today.

The second season of Powers will feature the villains named Desiree, Glinda, and rush. These three villains have been added to the already formidable cast of superheroes. The writers have done a great job of creating believable and relatable characters. The writers did an outstanding job recreating the feel and flavor of the comic book world. Even though it is only the second season, the writing has already created many fan favorites.

The villainous Desiree is a wealthy girl who has the means to gain control over several alternate futures by controlling the energy flow in her body. She uses her wealth to fund various projects including the construction of a massive prison designed for super villains and the design of an indestructible aircraft that is capable of destroying any object in its path. She also has a crush on Jessica Jones, another retro girl who wears many of the same costumes as the other Power Women.

Glinda is the evil sorceress known as Deena who is the main antagonist for the first season of the Powers. Her relationship with Jessica is strained due to her tragic past and she does not trust the innocent Jessica. She tries to seduce both girls to gain the power she needs to take over the future.

After Jessica realizes that she can trust Desiree, the two become great friends. The relationship between Jessica and Deena was one of the main reasons why I went back to the Powers Comic. Another great aspect of the comic is the romance between Jessica and Desiree. Their relationship is very romantic throughout the season 1 of the Powers comics.

I believe that the Power Girl TV show may have been cancelled before it had the chance to succeed. The comic book industry is always looking for new ways to attract audience. There were a lot of reasons why the Power Girl TV show failed. However, the writers did an excellent job recreating the feel and atmosphere of the comic book world. I am very happy that I got to see the first episode because I am already looking forward to the second season.
