Buyer's Guide: Pocket Comics

Comics Now: A Comfortable Interface For iPhone and iPad

Pocket Comics has some great new stuff coming out this year. It's the best one-stop shop for all your pocket book needs! With new titles like Shade the Frog, Uncle Mac's Farm and Mr. Lemon Pie, you're guaranteed to have a fun, colorful time with your pocket books this year. Here are some of my favorites from the latest offering from Comics and Cards.

Comics Now is all about you. It's an iPhone, Android and iPad app that brings the comic book universe to you. In the app you can find classic comic strips, comics from recent months and many new titles that you won't see anywhere else. The great thing about Comics Now is that it's totally free. There's no subscription fee, no download fee or monthly bill to worry about.

Another great app for those who love webcomics is Webcomics. Webcomics are strips (no image) that you read in a series of panels. You can see webcomics on your phone, tablet and computer and even read them in your browser. The great thing about webcomics is that they're free and if you're into webcomics, you'll love what they've done with Comics Now.

Whether you enjoy action, comedy, romance, fantasy, western or any other kind of story, Comics Now has just the right kind of genre for you. You can search through current webcomics, back-issues or even classic webcomics so that you can find the best stories and the newest comic strips. They have library covers for all the genres so you can choose the ones you enjoy.

In addition to having the classic strips, you can also get subscription to Comics Now. You can get the latest news about comics so you know what's happening as it happens. For example, you can get the latest scoop on the Civil War and all the best super hero team ups from here. There's also an official Pocket Comics app available from the App Store which gives you access to the entire Pocket Comics database. With the Comics Now app, you can search all kinds of webcomics in the comfort of your own home.

Speaking of starting reading, it's easy to do especially with the navigation buttons available. For example, you can easily jump to the most recent chapters or even search for specific genres. If you have trouble finding the specific book you want, then you can search by title or genre. And if you don't like how the app looks, you can always go back to the old settings where you can customize everything from the color scheme and the font styles.

Another feature of the Comics Now app is the Comics Now Highlights. When you tap the button, it will show you the most recent 50 highlights. These are tailored according to the reader's reading level. For kids in particular, these are the best stories that you can read as part of your routine homework. As a parent, you can use them as a lesson to guide your children in coming up with their own comic ideas. So if you want your kids to be more adventurous with their own comic book collection, make sure they're reading comics where these types of notes can be found.

By providing a more comprehensive and targeted experience, Comics Now has definitely evolved into a much more useful app. And since the service has been tweaked to work more closely with Apple's own iOS devices, you know that your webcomics will be presented on a wider range of devices. It will continue to grow as publishers and webcomic artists gain more confidence in the utility of a customized app that can help bring the world closer together. Whether you're looking for the latest issues of your favorite comic or just want to browse through a wider range of current webcomics, Comics Now is a must-have service for any reader who wants to make the most out of their comics.
