Buyer's Guide: Peacemaker Comics

Peacemaker Comics - A Marvel Comic For Today

Peacemaker Comics offers readers tons of great comic books and graphic novels. This is a series of comic books that take place in the world of magic. There are many stand out features to this series. The main character is called Maxwell Price and he has been depicted as an ordinary person who owns a bookstore. However, Maxwell's life takes an unexpected turn when a demon collector named Freddy purchases a soul.

Freddy traps Maxwell in his store and after trapping him he intends on freeing the soul. The only way Maxwell can get out of the bookstore is if he can defeat Freddy in combat. So how does Maxwell prepare for the fight? By learning some martial arts moves. He also purchases some martial arts weapons and equipment.

Peacemaker Comics has been gaining some popularity lately. It is the best selling comic book series according to Comichron. The story is about a young boy named Gabriel Price who lives in the not too distant future in a small town named Pleasantville. He is described as "a average young man with no special powers."

Gabriel enjoys the normal life of a typical teen. One day, he gets a visit from his older sister Rachel Price. They had never met before but were immediately drawn to each other due to their similarities in being poor. Rachel's father, a successful dentist, died while she was a young woman. She felt that her life was cursed and wanted nothing more than to save her brother, whom she saw as her soulmate.

When she realizes what she had done, she runs away from home leaving her baby behind. Gabriel goes off to college hoping to find something meaningful in his life other than his sister. He comes across a mysterious man named Edward atop an oil rig in the North Sea. The two become fast friends and Edward teaches Gabriel all about the spiritual realm. The only problem is that Gabriel cannot seem to remember anything he has learned. He soon realizes that Edward is the reason that his memories are fading.

The story kicks off when Edward and Gabriel get captured by the British and taken to a concentration camp. There, they are subjected to many tortures while their captors attempt to make them work for the government. However, Gabriel quickly discovers that his memories have been wiped and he is unable to return to America. In order to escape, he teams up with another American called Tommy comics who wants to help his friend.

Despite how the comic is presented, it can easily be considered a soap opera. The entire comic is centered on the sibling dynamic of the two characters. This dynamic is what makes it a very fun and fast paced read. Both Gabriel and Tommy are depicted as real teenagers with deep emotional bonds that are based on their real life experiences.

The artwork in Peacemaker Comics is well done. The style is distinct and colorful. The pencils are vibrant and the inks are detailed and realistic. Peacemaker is one of the best looking comic books that you will want to add to your collection.

One of the best features of Peacemaker Comics is the extended character evolution. Early on in the comic, we see Tommy as an unstable and troubled teenager, but through the series, we see a more responsible young man who wants to do good things for society. Also, as the series continues, we see the evolution of Gabriel as he battles the bad guys. He is no longer a loner type of comic book hero, but a young man who is determined to rid himself of the evil that has overtaken his life.

For anyone who is familiar with this particular superhero, you know how well this works. People have always been amazed by the way that this comic evolves throughout the storyline. It is not just a typical comic book that you pick up and read. You will find a great deal of humor throughout each issue. If you have ever wondered exactly what it's like to live under a watchful eye of a robot, then Peacemaker Comics is the perfect comic for you. If you haven't picked up a comic yet, you should definitely do so soon.

I think there is a great deal of hope that one day Peacemaker will be available on DVD. Currently, the TV show is on, but the comic books have never been collected. However, with the rise of technology, the world of computers has improved, and someone may want to bring this series back into the television screen. Only time will tell whether or not that will happen. In the meantime, for current fans, and even those who are long past the age of reading this comic, I recommend picking up a copy of Peacemaker Comics.
