Paper Girls is a recent ongoing comic book series based on the famous Disney cartoon. The comic book character was first introduced in Weekly Shonen Jump where she first appeared in the second issue. She has been featured multiple times in various different media since then. One of her earliest appearances was in the Japanese manga Ginga: Dragon Boy and has remained a favorite of many fans of the comic. Now, a new ongoing series starring the character is being introduced.
The first ongoing series focused on Paper Girls was the Disney version. The second series focused on the American adaptation of the manga. Now the third series, the Japanese version, is getting started. With this new series, fans will get to enjoy the origin story, all the fan favorites and all of the supporting cast for an all-new creative adventure in the magical world of paper dolls.
The story begins with a tragic accident where a young girl named Lyra was badly injured after being stepped on by a bus. She was taken to a facility run by Professor Marl and a team of other dedicated professionals dedicated to giving her the best possible care while she recovers from her injuries. Unfortunately, nothing seems to be healing Lyra's physical wounds and she is not able to return to her home or her family.
Seeking to help Lyra, her good friend Rika, and a few other disoriented characters set out on a mission to find her home and the rest of her family. Along the way, they come across an old warehouse that contains many mysterious boxes, some with strange symbols on them. Rika wonders if these symbols are important, but Lyra isn't sure. As the group travels through town, they encounter other towns that have something to do with the paper world. They learn that the townspeople have been attacked by a group of mysterious thieves and they must join forces to stop them. The mystery is why the thieves have chosen this particular location and what does it mean for the town of Paper Girls.
The mystery that permeates the first half of the story arc revolves around the origins of Lyra and her family. What role did she play during her childhood and what happened to her family? Was she bitten by a werewolf as a child and became a monster? Or did something else happen to her family that has left her with some strange powers that she can use to fight her enemies and protect herself?
There are several different endings to the Lyra story depending on which book the ongoing series is written in. In one of the books the story ends with Lyra accepting her gift and going on a journey to become a full time werewolf. In another book, she is killed and her soul is trapped inside a puzzle box that is transported to a new home. In the final book, she is given a new chance at life and she uses the power of her mind to unlock the key to the box. Now that she has the key, she has two choices. She can either return to her past or use the key to change her future.
