The life of Max Lucado, a young professional on the run from the law, is about to become more complicated when he gets involved in an international conspiracy. Life is Strange is a highly acclaimed comic book series based on the life of modern day writer, Max Lucado. The comic has been running for more than eight years now, and has been sold over seventy-five million copies worldwide. In Life is Strange, readers get to explore the personal lives of several extraordinary men and women all from different walks of life. Dc Comics is responsible for bringing this world to life, giving readers a glimpse into the private lives of these amazing people.
The life of Max Lucado is complicated at best. He starts out working hard in his father's small shop, but things do not go so well there. A woman he barely knows falls dead, and he avoids talking about what happened to her to avoid bringing attention to the tragic event that claimed her life. However, things take a turn for the worse one day, when he meets a girl he likes at a party who has mysterious powers. She is the primary suspect in her brother's murder, and is being held captive in a strange tower.
The second volume of Life is Strange focuses on the second incident that occurred between the first and second volume. In this newest volume, things go from bad to worse. Max must find out the truth about the crime that has been plaguing his family, and put a stop to a diabolical organization before it is too late for Kate. What started off as a simple search for information in the first volume of the graphic novel has become much more intricate. This second volume collects life-changing secrets from the second semester of Max's investigation into the weird happenings of his own town and the strange woman that saved him from nearly becoming a victim of the serial killer known as Jacob Wetter.
The second arc of Life Is Strange collects life-shattering news from the second semester of Max's educational experience at Abington Academy. In this issue, Kate is offered the chance to save her father's business, which she quickly accepts. However, just as everything seems to be going smoothly, a news report interrupts the two teens' conversation. The report claims that a school shooting has just occurred in the town's center, and that the shooter was a boy who used a Vortex Device to turn himself in. Because of this, Kate immediately runs to the police department, but is knocked unconscious by an officer sent to the scene.
In order to help her remember what has happened, Kate is taken to a secret facility run by Dr. Isaac's, where scientists from all over the world use a complex computer system to reset the timeline. They manage to restore the original timeline, but not before the police discover a series of unusual murders that seem to fit a particular pattern. When they learn that the devices were used on the boys who turned themselves in, the investigation expands, moving from Kate's school to the nearby town of Pleasant Hill. There, Rachel meets up with David, a boy from her past; and later, he learns the shocking truth about his family's history.
Following the events of the first arc, the second season of Life Is Strange picks up right where the first ended, with Kate and David reuniting with their parents and new friends. Things are looking up for the townsfolk when a terrible crime takes place in the local church parking lot. Before long, Kate and David are able to solve the crime, only to find that the perpetrator has escaped. Frustrated, the girls return to the loft, where David suddenly gets a vision of a mysterious man in the midst of a tornado. Desperately searching for answers, the girls enter the woods only to encounter a massive monster.
Returning to the high seas, Kate and David find themselves stranded on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, which leads them to an island in the Caribbean. There, they meet up with Frank, a boy from their past who was thrown out of the lighthouse by his father for reasons that are never explained. The two eventually learn that Frank is the long lost brother of Rachel Amber, who was believed to have died in the original timeline.
The second volume of the Life Is Strange series, No Tomorrow: The Long Con, picks up right where the first left off, with Kate and David stranded on the strange island. Kate is determined to find her friend so she decides to investigate Frank's whereabouts. Along the way, she discovers that his family owns a fortune - and that their fortune has something to do with the strange crystal that has been discovered. Frank had somehow inherited it and had been hiding from his family for some unknown reason.
