Buyer's Guide: Futanari Comic

Futanari Comic

The Futanari Comic is a monthly women's comic published by DC comics. Futanari is a character who appears in the Helliples cartoon series. Futanari is an eight-year old demon who was sent to Earth by her father, the arch devil himself. She is half human and half animal and has the ability to change her form to that of a cat, a dog, or a bird. She has magical powers due to her being a psykokou and being a arch devil.

Futanari has several friends and fellow devil inhabitants whom she has taken under her wing. Roxy, Bitchy, Sunflower, and Valentine are her five "students". They work together trying to keep the hellipony and her father in line, as well as preventing any harm from befalling earth. A regular monthly feature in Futanari Comics is a Hellipony mini comic book. These comic books are collected into a trade paperback by DC comics.

There is also a Futanari Graphic Novel series. The first volume of this series was released in 2021 and was written by Christina Crooks. It is a romance comic book about Futanari, her best friend Roxy, and Valentine who are her two other fellow devils. It is not clear where the idea for the series came from. DC has not issued any official statements regarding this but it is generally assumed that the concept of the Futanari comic was taken from the Helliples cartoon.

In the first issue, the arch devil Valentine wants to put a curse on Roxy so that she does not fall in love with a human. Futanari goes to investigate the scene of a murder, and while looking at the body she sees a badly decomposed and dead body lying on the ground. At the same time, an eagle-eyed and highly skilled witch named Roxy appears and tries to stop Valentine from hurting Futanari but gets distracted when she sees what she is doing. The Witch then tries to kill Roxy and Valentine, but they are saved by a warrior named Grinder who is being forced to fight them.

Valentine is determined to get rid of Roxy, but when he sees how badly she is injured he decides not to kill her. Instead, he takes her to his cave and tortures her mentally. After some time, he learns that she is actually a young woman, R Squeeze, whom he has been keeping as a fresh meat for the hellipony for quite some time. He tortures her until she agrees to help him get rid of the arch devil Futanari and become his wife. But when she refuses, he burns her to death in front of her father.

Futanari and Valentine then travel to Earth and meet their professor, Dr. David Dunning who tries to break them free by brainwashing Valentine into working with him to undo the brainwashing. They are then taken to hell where they meet back up with the other five evil angels and are once again faced off against each other. In the end, Valentine gains the upper-hand and uses the powers of hell to subdue the angel hellipony and release her from hell. However, before Valentine can throw the devil Futanari out of a plane, she has to seal a deal with the arch devil himself and give him half of what he wants.

This is an all-ages, still graphic and hardcore comic. It contains alot of blood and sex. If you are looking for a good, clean comic book this is not it. There are many more exciting storylines contained within the pages of Hellraiser: Ten Girls Trying Too Hard by Tim Burton. In my opinion, I think this is a great graphic novel and will bring enjoyment to fans of the series and non-fans alike.

If you are interested in picking this up, start your own review on Amazon. I am sure there are a lot of people that have read the original Hellraiser graphic novels and enjoyed them. Hopefully, this will be just as enjoyable and you can see some potential in this new version of the original. The cover page of Hellraiser: Ten Girls Trying Too Hard shows the devil in a white robe and holding a black scepter. The first issue is already available online. It sells for $2.99.
