Comic Shingeki is based on a Japanese story. It tells the story of a young boy who was thrown into the world of Japan as a baby and raised in virtual reality. In this modern-day Japan, he is shunned by his society for being a rare child who survived the original battle between vampires and humans. When his best friend from the virtual world falls ill, she carries a deadly virus that nearly kills him. To save his life, Shingeki must fight the demons that roam the world, learn to coexist with people from different cultures, and go on a epic journey across time and space.
Comic Shingeki started life as Yuichiro Nagashima, who launched the manga adaptation of his best-selling Japanese novel during 2021. The success of the comic has made him into a novelist, drawing inspiration from other works as well. A TV series based on the series aired in Japan in 2021. Funimation Entertainment acquired the rights to release the franchise on the English-speaking market beginning in 2021.
Masane Amaha is the main protagonist of the story. He was orphaned at birth, and raised in the quiet town of Kyoto. While still a teenager, he experienced a mysterious incident that leaves him with psychic abilities. Because of this new and strange power, he was shunned and feared by other children, causing him to constantly go into solitude.
Masane awakens powerful shards of a legendary artifact known as the "SS Sting Ray". These shards link him to the world of Tokyo, and allow Masane to travel back in time to the yearning years before his parents were born. During this time, he battles powerful creatures who want to take over the world, such as the ninja.
The comic follows Masane throughout his adventures. Occasionally, he is visited by some characters from his past, such as his mentor Takeda and his childhood friend Momokawa. He also gets to meet new people like Kintaro Hattori, an eccentric martial artist, and Setsugawa Ogasawara, a man obsessed with solving puzzles. Together, they battle villains and help to rebuild the world in which they live.
Despite its length, the story of Masane's journey is not too drawn out. In fact, it can be read in a quick and effective five-minute chapter. The storyline moves at a fast pace, and there is enough action for kids to enjoy. In addition, some of the episodes are directed at both adults and kids, making them more palatable to the audience. The animation used for the comic is fairly detailed and realistic, and adds some life to the story.
Comic books are now commonly available in North America, Europe, and Japan. The manga version is much smaller than the American version, but still contains plenty of entertainment value. The main story line revolves around a main character, Masane Wakabayashi, and the reader will get a feel for his feelings toward other characters as the story unfolds.
