Austin Books and Comics has been around for many years. It's located in the South Austin area of the Austin area. Long time store featuring a variety of independent comic books, graphic novels, and various pop culture trivia & movie memorabilia. There are usually hundreds to choose from whether you are looking for fiction or superhero or both. They also have some really nice buys on DVD you can take home and enjoy on repeat.

There are also some really neat used book stores within walking distance of the store. If you're looking for back issues comics this may be the place to find them. They are normally not that cheap but they are usually well worth the price. The store is also well worth a stop if you ever come to visit. Walking to your Austin area comic book store can be a fun afternoon or morning activity.

Another really good place to find comic books and to find out about all the local events going on is the Alamo Drafthouse. It's an all day store dedicated specifically to new and returning movies. This is a pretty large selection of new and used movies. There are often special events happening at the store too, so you may want to check out that as well. If you are into new releases then this is definitely the place to go.

One of the newest comic book stores to come to Austin, and one of the biggest in all of Texas is the new comic book store called The Oaken Horse. It's located off of Riverside Street in the South Austin area. It is a one-stop shop offering just about anything you would want from a graphic novel store. You'll find everything from trading cards, to back issues, to graphic novels and anything else you can think of. This is definitely the place for any type of fan of the comic book.

For someone who wants to read more than just a few comic books they should consider picking up a couple of Austin City Limits issues. These monthly issues come out in June and are well worth the cover price. They feature all kinds of great writers such as Mike De Luca, Will Ewing, Tom Wright and many others. If you love this kind of stuff you will absolutely have to add these books to your comic book library.

You may also want to check out the newly relaunched South Austin comic shop called Lazytown. This place is packed with great new books and merchandise. They offer a wide variety of new releases, both new and used, a few original comic titles and some specials. It's a great place for all types of fans.

If you love superhero stories then you definitely need to check out Green Lantern: New Guardians. This book is written by Greg Pak and drawn by Todd Mcchini. It's about the hero of Green Lantern rings. This one features an all new take on the character that makes you feel like you are part of the action. It's a great book that is worth buying if you are a fan of DC comics.

Finally, if you are looking for an excellent collection of DC comics then you definitely need to check out the new Hardiman and Sneezy line. These two hardcover sets feature many different titles and artists that will astound you. They are a great addition to any collection and can easily be added to at a moment's notice. The covers are gorgeous and the inside content is full of tons of great information. It's one of the best things about these Hardiman and Sneezy books.
